Our Approach

Pilates is an active method of strengthening and lengthening the body whilst improving postural awareness and coordination. There is a mind body focus, some times called the intelligent way to exercise. Core strength, stabilization and postural alignment along with close attention to detail ensuring correct muscle patterns. The Pilates Method enables clients to start the rehabilitation process at an early stage.

Postural Correction

The Pilates Method conditions the whole body under the watchful eye of a qualified and passionate instructor.  We will align the bones working towards ideal posture, guide you to engage correct muscle patterns and improve core strength and stability.

Rehabilitation and General Fitness

Pilates uses specialized equipment to achieve your goals and meet your bodies needs.  Breathing is a vitally important part of the Pilates Method.  Challenge, balance, stability and strength.

Active Pilates is a registered studio with health fund providers: (MBF, HBA, Mutual Community) AHM, NIB, HCILTD.  If you are currently with a health fund provider not listed we may be able to help you so please don’t hesitate to ask.

Denitta is a PAA Level 4 Pilates Instructor with a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in the Pilates Method with 15 years of teaching experience in Pilates and over 30 years in health and fitness.  Denitta and staff will teach each client, meeting their individual needs.  All bodies, ages, sporting and rehabilitation requirements can be accommodated, and we welcome all new clients from beginners to advanced to come along and start your Pilates journey with us.
